In August 1965 the dealership, then located in downtown Guelph was purchase by Howard Robinson.
In 1974 Ted Kohli joined the sales team at Robinson Pontiac.
In March 1975 Robinson Pontiac would be the first dealership to relocate to what would become know as the Guelph Automall, its present location.
In 1979 Ted Kohli is promoted to Sales Manager of the Robinson Pontiac team.
In 1985 after graduating from the University of Guelph with a major in Business and Economics Cindy Robinson joined the dealership team. Cindy has worked in all aspects of the business, from Parts and Service thru to Sales.
In 1996 Robinson Pontiac opens its wholesale division and Sam Hirani joins the Robinson Pontiac team to lead that division.
In 2005 Robinson Pontiac was the proud recipient of the Triple Crown Award. The Triple Crown is awarded to the top General Motors dealers for exceeding customer's expectations in Sales, Service, Parts, and Accessories.
In 2007 Cindy Robinson together with partners Ted Kohli and Sam Hirani purchase the dealership from Howard Robinson. This is the same year Howard Robinson is awarded the Milestone Award for 41 years of dedicated service as a General Motors dealer.
In 2008 Robinson Pontiac completes its major renovation including an expanded showroom, waiting lounge and service bays. It also included a service drive-thru for our customer's convenience.
In 2009 Robinson Pontiac is the proud recipient of the Guelph Tribune Reader's Choice award for Favourtie New Car Dealership as voted by its reader. This is also the same year that our Service Manager Mark Eden and our Parts Manager Lee Cook join the Robinson team.
